Planting for the Olympic torch passing

We had fun planting up the flower beds, ready for the 24th of June when the torch will pass at 7.30am. Free breakfast provided for the hardy souls who make it out that early on a Sunday, and goody bags for the first 100 children!

We planted up Olympic rings which worked quite well, a CND sign by way of representing the gardens name, and had a go at a union jack which proved not so easy. We also planted two edible beds which are not in the pictures as their planting is not complete yet, and a herb corner. So now we just need to see how they bed in over the next month!
